I have already had a few of my parent teacher conferences.  The rest will be on this Tuesday.  Hopefully there will be no major storm to upset those plans again.

Reading- Read small book they brought, will have a short comprehension check on it.

Religion- Pg. 49

Wisconsin State History- pg. 3 in packet, create a postcard depicting what you think is important about Wisconsin.

It's really coming down out there, but lets take a moment to say thank you to any VETERANS!!!  TOMORROW IS OUR VETERAN ASSEMBLY SO DON'T FORGET  TO WEAR... RED, WHITE AND BLUE!!!!!

HOMEWORK: If your student brought home their Charlotte's Web Packet that needs to be finished.  Don't forget to play outside...it is beautiful!

Language- Verbs sheet on past, present and future tense

Math- Lesson 38, 1-30

Writing- We are working on a creative writing process.  We have each built a "creature" and are writing stories where our creature is the main character.

We've been having a rough time in gym lately.  We have been having a hard time with not participating, complaining, arguing, and not getting along with our peers.  I had to come down pretty hard on the kids for their behavior at the end of the day today.  Not my favorite thing to do, but like in parenting, it is sometimes needed.  Please remind your son/daughter that they are loved always.   Afterall...

Reading: Read the remainder of Charlotte's Web by monday.  We read the story, "Coming Distractions" and had a vocab sheet, comprehension sheet and fact or opinion sheet.

Math: Lesson 37, 1-30

Memory: Due 11/10, Psalm 103:13 and Romans 1:6

Spelling: Test tomorrow

Handwriting: Write each spelling word three times in cursive

We had a literacy kind of day!!!!  My favorite days of all are when we can read, discuss, learn from and do projects related to books!

We have been having such a great time reading "Charlotte's Web".  We will be finishing the book next week.  The vocabulary in that book is spectacular!!!!

I hope you enjoy the pictures of our web words.  The students were challenged to think of what character trait they would choose to proclaim about themselves if Charlotte made them a web.  These kids came up with some great thoughts.

So sorry I missed yesterday.  I had an appointment right after school and then a meeting, voting, dinner etc. and never got back to blog!

I am having a great day learning, growing and preparing, but gosh I miss my kiddos!  Can't wait to see you all tomorrow.
